About Us

Help is Our Main Goal

The Huron County Board of Developmental Disabilities (HCBDD) is the primary agency for supporting people with developmental disabilities in our county.

We exist to provide opportunities for people with disabilities to achieve a self-directed future as a leading provider of services and supports in Huron County.

Each year, we work with a multitude of children and adults – and their families – to help them enjoy life, live it to their maximum potential, welcome new challenges and overcome barriers, and experience the joy of contributing back to the community that has supported them. We believe that every person has a unique gift to share, and an important role as a community member.

Our Mission

Our mission is to inspire people with developmental disabilities to contribute to the communities that are important to them and to achieve the life they want.
